The canoe test event took place at the Sea Forest Water Way and the information was published by iDNES.cz.  The representation of the Czech Republic was greatly provided by Josef Dostál, Radek Šlouf, Jakub Zavřel and Martin Fuksa accompanied by the coaches Karel Leština, Petr Fuksa and Pavel Hottmar.
The athletes enriched their program with a visit to the Czech Embassy in Tokyo, where they discussed with Ambassador Martin Tomčo and other diplomats about plans and sports goals for the Olympic Games. In addition the athletes together with Consul Monika Dobiášová visited the Elementary School Toyko Jogakkan. Besides to sports games with students, there was also a lively discussion. It should be noted that the students liked Czech athletes very much.
