The International Music Festival Young Prague is a project that aims to provide young musicians from all over the world with the opportunity to show their musical talents and support them at the beginning of their artistic careers. Since 1992, the festival has been organized annually by the Japanese and Czech organizing committees in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tokyo.

The International Music Festival Young Prague has always been and continues to be an opportunity for young and promising performers of classical music to perform in public and present the results of their efforts. At the same time, it provides them with the opportunity to establish mutual friendships and lay the foundations for a future professional cooperation.

At Sunday's gala concert in Tokyo, which was attended by Mr. Lukáš Zícha, Consul of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tokyo, the young artists amazed the audience with the flawless interpretation of Czech and foreign composers, providing all guests with an exceptional musical experience.

This year´s festival is extraordinary not only because it celebrates 30 years since its foundation, but also because Mr. Jakub Kulhánek, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, supported the festival by giving his auspices for the Czech part of the program, which took place in the Czech Republic from 16 September to 3 October 2021. This patronage symbolizes thus the importance of Czech-Japanese relations.
