The exhibition with the theme of the Czech Republic and Slovakia was originally scheduled to be open in April, but due to a world pandemic, the grand opening was postponed. This exceptional event commemorates, among other things, the significant anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Japan. The time delay will allow the organizers to prepare the exhibition even more carefully. In addition to the sand sculptures there will be also variety of traditional Czech and Slovak goods, souvenirs and grocery. The town of Tottori, famous for its sand dunes, is located in the Tottori prefecture in the southwestern part of Honshu Island. The Sand Museum - Tottori Sand Dunes was opened in 2006.
