Amendment of travel medical insurance for a stay longer than 90 days

As of August 2nd, 2021 the Act Concerning the Residence of Foreign Nationals stipulates new duties for foreign nationals who enter the Czech Republic and stay for more than 90 days.
 

Foreign nationals applying for a long-term visa or a residence permit (after 2 August 2021) need to submit a proof of travel medical insurance:

1) in the scope of comprehensive health care for the entire period of stay concluded exclusively with Pojišťovna VZP (can be arranged online)

OR

2) in the scope of necessary and urgent health care concluded with any applicable health insurance company for the first 90 days of stay; and in the scope of comprehensive health care for the rest of the stay concluded exclusively with Pojišťovna VZP (can be arranged online).
