Extraordinary measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the Czech Republic

The Government resolution dated 12 March 2020, No. 198, adopted crisis measures coming into effect from 14 March 2020, on the basis of which entry in the Czech Republic is not allowed for all foreigners coming from high risk countries (a list can be found on the website of the Ministry of Health – www.mzcr.cz) with the exception of foreigners having permanent or temporary residence in the Czech Republic.
 

Similarly, Czech nationals and foreigners having permanent residence or temporary residence exceeding 90 days in the Czech Republic are not allowed to enter high risk countries.

The Embassies of the Czech Republic suspend accepting all applications for visas and for permanent or temporary residence. The visa procedures for submitted applications of Schengen visas will be ceased, the visa procedures for submitted applications for residence exceeding 90 days will be suspended.
