Restrictions on travelling to the Czech Republic

(This article expired 31.12.2022 / 10:36.)

As a result of the critical epidemiological situation, the Government of the Czech Republic decided to introduce crisis measures in force since 22 October, prohibiting the free movement of persons on the territory of the Czech Republic.

Travelling to the Czech Republic is limited only to absolutely necessary cases.

It is not allowed to travel for tourist purposes or to visit friends. The measure applies especially to people who, so far, have been allowed to travel from the so-called green countries without any limitations. This situation has now changed and the limitation of travel to absolutely necessary cases applies to travellers from all countries. Restrictions include, for example, the closure of hotels and accommodation facilities (for tourist purposes) or a stay in public limited only to max. two people.

Restrictions on the free movement of persons in the Czech Republic apply until 3 November, with the possibility of extension.
