Dr.  Martin Smolek, Deputy Minister for Legal and Consular Affairs of the Czech Republic MFA officially opened the Honorary Consulat on May 8, 2019, in a presence of the Czech Republic ambassador to Canada H.E. Pavel Hrncir. The Czech Republic Consul General in Toronto Ivan Pocuch congratulated Mr. Vladimir Hlas, the new Czech Honorary Consul in Winnipeg. The address of the new office is: 5 Terracon Place, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2J 4B3. The opening hours will be every second Tuesday, starting on May 21, 2019.
