The topics of discussion were the current political, security and economic situation in Europe and on the North American continent as well as prospects for maintaining strong transatlantic bonds.

The discussion also touched upon topics related to the need to seek effective ways of increasing awareness and interest in bilateral political, economic and cultural cooperation between Canada and the Czech Republic. Consul General Počuch informed the Speaker of the planned March visit of the Minister of Foreign affairs of the Czech Republic  Lubomír Zaorálek, which will strongly emphasize economy and trade.

At the conclusion of the visit, Ivan Počuch, accompanied by the staff of the Legislative Assembly, toured the historical building of the Legislature and was introduced as a guest of the Speaker during question time of the Members of the Legislative Assembly towards the Ontario government.
