(This article expired 13.07.2020.)

Due to the COVID-19 spread the Government of the Czech Republic has issued, on March 12, 2020, an emergency measure whereby it, among others, suspends acceptance of Schengen visa and long-term and permanent residence permit applications at all diplomatic missions of the Czech Republic worldwide.

All existing Visa appointments are cancelled. The lodged Schengen Visa applications that are in process, i.e. not decided upon, will be closed. Please note that the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic also temporarily suspends processing of all long-term visa, residence permit and Employee/Blue card applications that are already being investigated by Department for Asylum and Migration Policy in Prague.

The decision is in effect as of March 14, 2020, until further notice.
