Czech Rail Coming To Canada

The Czech railway mission is coming to Canada, presenting a top-notch selection of companies, with the aim to explore the potential for partnership with Canadian companies and open new opportunities for cooperation in the Canadian, European and global markets.

The Czech railway industry is a sector with 200 years of tradition. Continuing this tradition with strategic investment into innovation and the development of new products, Czech railway companies have contributed to building the foundations of countries all over the world.

The enclosed brochure consists of the profiles of the mission participants. Amongst the participants are a rolling stock manufacturer Škoda Transportation, component producers Bonatrans (manufacturer of wheelsets), BORCAD (manufacturer of train seats),  ZKL (bearings manufacturer and engineering service provider), infrastructure producers DT Vyhybkarna a strojirna (producer of turnout constructions), Brens NA (producer of re-purposed materials for rail and transit solutions such as noise absorbers) and Level Systems (developer and manufacturer of advanced monitoring systems) as well as research and development institutes VUKV and VZU Plzen.

The Czech railway mission will take place in Toronto and Montreal from November 19 to November 23, 2018. The delegation will be at the CUTA Fall Conference and Transit Show (with the booth introducing the sector on Tuesday, November 20) at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. We would welcome interested parties to schedule an individual meeting (in Toronto on Monday, October 19 – Wednesday, November 21, and in Montreal Thursday, November 22 – Friday, November 23 or on the side of the Conference and Transit Show at the MTCC).

The mission is organized by the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Toronto, Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ottawa and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Association of Czech Railway Industry and with support of the Canadian Association of Railway Suppliers. For more information or to schedule a meeting, please contact the organization team at the Czech Consulate in Toronto (David Muller and Antonio Bauce, 416-473-8674, ext. 16 or commerce_toronto@mzv.cz).
