(This article expired 10.08.2023 / 15:45.)

From September 20, 2022, the new conditions for scheduling an appointment for a Schengen visa application (except family members of EU/Czech citizens) come into force. Read the following information carefully.

The quota available for this period will be 80-100 applications.

You can send only 2 registration e-mails from 1 e-mail address!

The main rule: an e-mail for each applicant, e-mails for more than one applicant will not be accepted (except the case of minors up to the age of 18 who travel together with a parent).

The request must be sent exclusively to the following address: schengen_tunis@mzv.cz

The request for the appointment must respect with the following rules:

Your email should have 3 parts.

1. (The subject of the email)

In the subject, only the applicant's passport number must be written.

The text of your e-mail should contain the following informations:

  • Name and surname of the applicant (exactly as in the passport in Latin characters).
  • Date of birth of the applicant
  • Applicant's phone number
  • Applicant's e-mail address
  • Purpose of the stay (for example tourism, culture, family visit etc.)

1. (Annexes)

Each e-mail must contain 2 appendices in .PDF format only:

Annexes stored in the cloud will not be accepted.

• A copy of your passport page that contains the photo and personal data.

• A copy of the document that proves the purpose of your stay in the Czech Republic, e.g. verified invitation from the Czech police, invitation from a Czech company or other institution (sport, cultural, educational or others), for tourist stays (hotel reservation) etc.

It is not enough to send only the annexes; your e-mail must contain both the text and the annexes. At the same time, the informations in the text must correspond to the informations in the annexes; otherwise, your e-mail will be excluded and will not be taken into consideration.

Your e-mail should only be sent once and then you wait for the response of the Embassy.

Your e-mail should only be sent once and then you wait for the response of the Embassy.

Your request will not be considered in the following cases:

  • In the subject of the e-mail, there will be no number of your passport.
  • In the text there will not be the necessary information requested.
  • Annexes will not be added.
  • Appendices will not be in the required PDF format.
  • The informations in the text are different from those in the annexes.
  • The e-mail will be sent to an address other than schengen_tunis@mzv.cz
  • The request will be made for more than one applicant (except in the cases of minors above-mentioned).
  • The e-mail will be sent before the date and time of the reopening of the quota.
  • You send more than one e-mail (each applicant can only make one request; if you send more than an e-mail for an applicant, you will be excluded and will not receive the appointment, and if you send your request from different addresses, you will not receive the appointment either.)

Applicants who meet the conditions mentioned and the quota will not be exhausted, will receive an e-mail with the date and time of the appointment. This response will be delivered to you within 10 working days of the reopening of the quota. Appointments will be distributed strictly in chronological order in which e-mails will be delivered to the e-mail box schengen_tunis@mzv.cz . The Embassy does not change this chronological order.

The appointment cannot be changed and the Embassy does not respond to requests in this regard.

If you do not show up at the Embassy on the day and time of your appointment, the appointment will be cancelled and you must register again for the next quota.

Once the quota is exhausted, you will receive an automatic reply from the e-mail address schengen_tunis@mzv.cz. There is no need to respond to this automatic answer because the Embassy will not take into account the answers.

If you have not received the appointment, it means that:

  • You have sent your e-mail before the date and time of the reopening of the quota.
  • Your e-mail has not been written according to the aforementioned conditions (e.g. your e-mail has been sent more than once).
  • The quota has been exhausted.

The embassy will not respond to any request/e-mail to this effect.

Attention!

The e-mail address schengen_tunis@mzv.cz  is only used for appointment requests. Questions regarding the visa-granting process, documents etc. will not be taken into consideration.

The Embassy emphasizes the fact that group e-mails or proofs to send us e-mails with the help of software tools will be checked by the ministry's anti-spam system and will be excluded from registration.
