Batsuuri Jamiyansuren was awarded a Jan Masaryk Medal

On 16 November 2021, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Mongolia, Jiří Brodský, awarded the Jan Masaryk Commemorative Medal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic to a Mongolian citizen Mr. Batsuuri Jamiyansuren.
 

Dr. Batsuuri studied in Czechoslovakia and obtained the degree of civil engineer - economist. Since 2008 he has been serving as the member of the Mongolian Parliament and was the chairman of the  Parliamentarz Caucus for the Czech-Mongolian Friendship. In 2016, he was appointed the Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sport, and has been chairing the Czech-Mongolian Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation. He also shows significant support for Czech-Mongolian relations in his current position as the Chairman of the Regulatory Commission for Water Services of Mongolia.

The Commemorative Medal, which bears the name of Jan Masaryk, is awarded by Czech ambassadors to foreign personalities for spreading the good name and reputation of the Czech Republic throughout the world. The Embassy in Ulaanbaatar is convinced that Mr. Batsuuri is a person who deserves this award and looks forward to having the opportunity to further develop the close relations between the two countries.
