Shark arrived in Ulaanbaatar after a “direct” flight from Prague

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia – July 3, 2021 – At 18:31 Mr. Denis Gibadulin and Mr. Gerhard Wackenhut completed their 7,299 km long “direct” flight from Prague to Ulaanbaatar after 5 stopovers in Russia. The two-person crew of SHARK aircraft spent 29 hours in the air and achieved an average speed of 252 km/h. The aircraft’s registration OK-AUR 71 symbolizes 71 years since the establishment of the Czech-Mongolian diplomatic relations. Moreover, the paint scheme of the airplane was specially designed by artist Amarsanaa Lkhagva to represent the beauty as well as mythology of Mongolia. SHARK versatility to land on grass airstrips, speed of 300 km/h and a range of 2500 km with regular 95/98 car fuel makes it a most suitable aircraft for Mongolia.

“Czechia is among the most developed general aviation markets in the world in particular in the production of high-performance ultralight airplanes with SHARK being one of the latest embodiments of its more than 100-years’ experience in aviation industry. I believe it represents huge potential for Mongolian emerging general aviation”, comments Gerhard Wackenhut and further adds: “The flight from Prague to Ulaanbaatar itself is a proof of SHARK’s quality and reliability. And I have to share my personal remark. With a height of 1.90m I often have trouble in long-haul commercial flights. But I have no such trouble in SHARK thanks to its super comfortable interior!”

Gerhard Wackenhut is a German national living in Mongolia where he among other business activities delivers university lectures. He is whole-life enthusiastic pilot with hundreds of flight hours which he can utilize as the new official representative of SHARK for Mongolia. Based on his experience in marketing, general aviation as well as local environment, he predicts great future for Mongolian general aviation market.

Denis Gibadulin is the Managing Director of SHARK.AERO CZ delivering SHARK airplanes to North America, European countries, Middle East as well as Asia. This is already his third visit to Mongolia. Previously he participated in the “Aid for Trade” program of the Czech government supporting the exchange of experience and best practices in the development of civil aviation.

On Sunday July 4 SHARK will introduce itself to Mongolia also by means of participation at the opening ceremony of the New Ulaanbaatar International Airport (NUBIA).
