The Prehistoric Journey on the International Children's Day

(This article expired 26.06.2020 / 04:30.)

After the celebration of the International Children's Day for the smallest family members of our Embassy staffs which was generously organized by the Consul and Counsellor of the Embassy, Karel Zeman's film "Journey to Prehistory" took place on 2 June 2017.The movie was a gift for children and helped older audiences from our Czech-Mongolian community in Ulaanbaatar to remember their childhood great memory.

Even though some small audiences were a bit afraid, they definitely watched the full adventure and animation film which was created by great film producer a half century ago from the painting of Zdeněk Buriana, a Czech painter.

This is the end of our film series by Karel Zeman on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his death, which we have been presenting to the Mongolian audiences, friends, students, scientists and historians. We believe that audiences were able to know, understand and get acquainted with the Czech culture from these worldwide known films" Journey to Prehistory ", "On the Comet" and "The Stolen Airship " which are based on the philosophical novels of the Jules Verne and Karel Čapek.

This film was also a bit of a farewell to the ambassador, who will end her mission in late summer before the end of this school year. We thank all our audiences for their support and interest so far; we wish them a beautiful summer and meet again with many other interesting events in the future.
