Alphonse Mucha exhibition in Ulaanbaatar

On February 8, 2018, an exhibition of reproductions of the world-famous Czech painter Alphonse Mucha, a representative of the Czech Art Nouveau (Art Nouveau), was officially opened at Caffé Delicatessen.

The exhibition, which includes reproductions of three sets of decorative panels (Four Days, Four Seasons, and Four art), will be available at Caffé Delicatessen until March 31, 2018. In addition, printed materials are available on the exposed panels. Visitors can briefly introduce themselves to the life and work of this prominent Czech artist from the second half of the 19th century and the first third of the 20th century, whose unique work in the Art Nouveau style contributed to the international "visibility" of the democratic Czechoslovakia between the two World wars.

The ceremonial opening of the exhibition, prepared with the support of Mongolian company Altan Taria and refreshment from the Caffé Delicatessen, was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, representatives of Mongolian artists, designers, painters and musicians and several Mongolian graduates of Czechoslovak and Czech universities. After the initial short speech on the life and work of the world-famous Czech painter, which was given by Ambassador Jiří Brodský (see annex), following a short piano performance of the leading Mongolian pianist. Afterwards, invited guests were able to see an exhibition consisting of three series of decorative panel reproductions (Four Days, Four Seasons and Four Art). The pleasant atmosphere of the cultural event was enhanced by excellent snacks and served wine. Although this is only a small example of Alphonse Mucha's work, it may contribute the invited guests and other visitors to this exhibition, which will be on the 1st floor of the Caffé Delicatessen freely accessible to guests of this great café until March 31, 2018, will go to the Czech Republic to see the originals of this great Czech Art Nouveau master´s pieces.
