Screening of Czech movie „Dark Blue World“

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ulaanbaatar in cooperation with the Ulaanbaatar cinema, ICinema organized a movie evening on Saturday, May 12th at 4 p.m, on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the end of World War II. On that occasion was screened a movie "The Dark Blue World" by director Jan Svěrák, which is reminding of the heroism of the Czech pilots in the units of the British Air Force during the Second World War.

"The most successful film of the year 2001 was awarded by four Czech Lions (directing, camera, music and editing), the Film Critics Prize, the main prize at the festival in Varna and other honors," said Václav Dobeš, Councellor and Consul of the Czech Embassy in Mongolia. He told the audience the attractions that accompanied the preparation of the film itself. After the screening, an interesting discussion was held on the subject of the movie.
