The film became from the book of autobiographical short stories by popular Czech writer and journalist Ota Pavel "How I Met Fish" from 1974. The most famous Czech actors Vladimír Menšík, Rudolf Hrušínský, Radoslav Brzobohatý, Eliška Balzerová, Luděk Munzar and others are in the main roles of the award-winning film Prix Italia in 1979 in the Drama category.

The film was presented in Czech dabbing with Mongolian subtitles. The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ulaanbaatar continues to cooperate with the Altan Khalis festival and during the Saturday screenings of "Dreamers´Day" at the I-Cinema, Mongolian viewers can look forward to three more successful Czech films this year.
