Mongolian graduates of Czech universities celebrated a National holiday with Ondřej Hejma and his "Velvet"

This year's meeting of Mongolian graduates of Czech and Slovak universities, held on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the Foundation of Czechoslovakia and the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, featured Ondřej Hejma, singer, composer and frontman of the Yellow Dog Band.

The organizers of this year's meeting were graduates who started their studies in 1989 and Ondřej Hejma accepted their invitation to perform for the first time in Mongolia, songs from his repertoire, accompanied by the well-known Mongolian band Shar Airag (Yellow Beer) led by Gankhuu Gendendaram.

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Mongolia, Jiří Brodský, introduced the graduates' meeting and thanked the graduates for maintaining their relationship with the Czech Republic and helping to maintain and develop its friendly relations with Mongolia. He recalled the departure of Karel Gott. The attendees honored him with a minute of silence and Ondřej Hejma also included in the program the song "Bird's Dialect", which the Yellow Dog and Karel Gott recorded.
