Zdeněk Tománek at Fat Cat Jazz Club

On 10 - 12 September 2019, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in cooperation with Fat Cat Jazz Club in Ulaanbaatar organized three evening concerts of the Czech saxophonist Zdeněk Tománek.
On the occasion of the first anniversary since the founding of the Fat Cat Jazz Club, Zdeněk Tománek and the Mongolian jazz band Bluescoopers featured the most famous jazz compositions by John

Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Joe Henderson, Wayne Shorter and others.
Zdeněk Tománek was born in Chrudim, where he attended the local Elementary Art School from the age of eight. From an early age he played in several local bands and Big Bands. He graduated from the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague. During his studies in Prague he began to play in several bands, such as Echoes Quartet, Actual Tendencies, Les Gars D'en Bas, Crescent Quartet and others. He has also worked with bands like Milan Svoboda's Big Band, Stephen Markovic's Saxtet. Since September of this year, he has started at the Academy of Music in Basel, Switzerland.
