Ambassador received by Minister of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations

On 27 April 2020 the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Mongolia, Jiří Brodský, was received by Minister of Foreign Affairs Damdin Tsogtbaatar on the occasion of the 70th anniversay of diplomatic relations between both countries.
 

The Ambassador handed over the congratulation letter from Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Tomáš Petříček, reflected on key moments of the seventy years long history of diplomatic relations and informed about the planned events in Czech-Mongolian relations, especially high-level visits, current trade and investment cases, but also the continuing projects in geology, protection of the environment and technical assistance.

In the first two months of this year the Czech export to Mongolia has increased by 26% as compared to the same period of last year. The Ambassador has asked for support of the intended biggest Czech investment in energy sector (joint venture in smart metering). He mentioned the cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Mongolia and multisectoral business missions prepared with the Czech Chamber of Commerce for early October 2020 on the occasion of Expo Mongolia. Minister Tsogtbaatar also received a copy of the letter the Ambassador addressed to the Mongolian Minister of health regarding the offer of Czech companies capable of supplying intersive care units, mobile biosafety labs and other healthcare facilities.

Cooperaton in the European Union, ratification of bilateral agreements, consular agenda and this year´s development cooperation projects were among other topics discussed during the meeting.
