Czech Republic represented at the “Study in Europe” fair in Ulaanbaatar

The historically first educational fair organized by DEU in Ulaanbaatar, was attended by representatives of 4 member countries as Germany, France, Romania and the Czech Republic. There was a great interest in studying, language courses and internships at Czech universities. More than 600 people, mostly students from Mongolian universities, entered the event via social networks.

The fair was opened by speeches of the head of DEU in Ulaanbaatar Train Hristea and State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, sciences and sports of Mongolia Mrs. B. Bayarsaikhan. Both of those present, especially students and recent university graduates, were advised to learn more about the great opportunities offered by the European education system, particularly in the follow-up of EU-funded mobility and Erasmus + follow-up studies, projects and exchanges.

The Czech Republic was represented at the fair by the local staffs of Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ulaanbaatar, headed by Ambassador Jiří Brodský. His deputy Oldřich Zajíček and Mongolian colleagues at a well-prepared stand informed those interested in language courses and studies in bachelor, master and doctoral programs. High-quality large-format video projection presented the most important universities in the Czech Republic, led by the world-famous Charles University in Prague. Posters on specific realized projects in Mongolia TACTIC, Mobility and Erasmus + in cooperation with Masaryk University in Brno, Mendel University in Brno with National University of Mongolia and Mongolian University of Life, Sciences (MULS) were also available at the stand. There was a great interest in the Erasmus + project currently underway, in which seven MULS students are currently studying at the Mendel University. The research and scientific part of the project in Mongolia is carried out in cooperation with the German-Mongolian Technical University of Ulaanbaatar (GMIT). Mr. Ts. Sukhtulga, who has just returned from the Czech Republic, also spoke about other successful projects and cooperation with the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague and the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice.

The “Study in Europe” educational fair exceeded the expectations of the organizers and will surely be repeated next year.

Even in the great competition of Western European universities, Czech higher education has a lot to offer.

Again, what is known about the Czech Republic is confirmed: “Quality at a reasonable price”
