Handover of award for the winner of the Lidice Art Competition

Mr. Oldřich Zajíček, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia handed over diploma and prize to Ms. Yesui Oyunbat, 12-year old girl who participated and was selected as the Best from Mongolia and awarded the Honorable Mention from the 47th International Exhibition of Children’s Fine Arts Lidice 2019 on October 22, 2019.
 

The International Exhibition organized annually by the “Lidice Memorial”, a semi-budgetary organization of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, was held in Lidice Gallery under the auspices and with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, the Czech Commission for UNESCO and the Czech Centres. This year exhibition took place under the theme “Chemistry”. Organizers received all together 15,336 artworks from more than 70 countries, 433 were awarded a prize and 41 won medals.

One of the 433 prize winners was Ms. Yesui Oyunbat from Mongolia, who is taking drawing classes at Mongolian Children’s Palace in Sukhbaatar district of Ulaanbaatar. She came to the Czech Embassy in Ulaanbaatar to pick up her prize together with her proud mother, who studied design in Ulaanbaatar in the past. It was Yesui’s first time ever participating in this contest and she shared her goal to be prepared more and win a medal from the next year’s contest.

Mr. Oldřich Zajíček, Deputy Head of Mission, had a small talk with her about her talents and future goals, and he has informed her about the possibilities to study arts in the Czech Republic. Then, he congratulated her for her successful participation in the Exhibition and wished her future success and all the best.
