Ambassador Jan Vytopil visited the Mongolian Academy of Sciences

After the successful mission of Czech scientists from the National Museum in Mongolia, Ambassador Jan Vytopil presented to the President of the Academy of Sciences, Professor Redgel Duger, an offer of deeper cooperation, especially in the field of paleontology and ethnography.

The President of the Academy of Sciences then took the Czech ambassador through the departments where the "Czechoslovak footprint" is still visible. As local specialist and former graduate of UCT Dr. Enkhargal said in Czech.: "The equipment of the chemical section serves us well here, and that's why Czech technologies have our great confidence." Ambassador Jan Vytopil was also surprised by the extent of equipment left here by Czechoslovak scientists: "I originally came to give Professor Redgel an invitation to the Czech of the Republic from the director of the National Museum, Mr. Michal Lukeš, but now I see that we have a bigger task ahead of us, to once again connect Czech and Mongolian scientists in the fields of archaeology, paleontology, but also ethnography and chemistry."

During the meeting, the director of the institute, Ts. Tserendorj, gave a brief presentation on Mongolian-Czech relations and cooperation between scientists and researchers of the two countries.

The Ambassador viewed the photographs stored in the Document Center of the institute and supported the proposal to enrich the photo collection related to the cooperation between the two countries.

The Ambassador also got acquainted with the Institute's Archaeological Fund and the "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Mongolia Presentation-Research Laboratory Hall".
