Czech-Mongolian relations are strengthening: Minister of Foreign Affairs makes her first working visit to the Czech Republic

The Mongolian Minister of Foreign Affairs, B. Battsetseg, carried out a successful working visit to the Czech Republic on May 11 and 12. During her visit, she met with the highest representatives of the Czech government.

Alongside her counterpart, the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavsky, she also met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Marian Jurecka. She thanked him for the successful implementation of the recently signed Social Security Agreement between Mongolia and the Czech Republic, which allows citizens of both countries to calculate pensions based on contributions made in either country. This agreement is significant for more than 12,000 Mongolian citizens living and working in the Czech Republic.

During her meeting with the Minister of Industry and Trade, Josef Sikela, there was unanimous agreement from both sides to expand cooperation in the fields of mining, construction, infrastructure, and agriculture.

The confirmation of exceptionally friendly relations between the two countries, which have a history spanning over 70 years, was evidenced by the fact that the Minister was received by the second highest official of the Czech Republic - the President of the Senate, Miloš Vystrčil. Representatives from the academic sector, including the Rector of Charles University and the Director of the National Museum, were also part of the visit.
