Czechia / Mongolia: Door to pensions opened

Ambassador Jan Vytopil and Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Mongolia T. Ayursaikhan signed the Administrative Arrangement on the Implementation of the Social Agreement on January 24, 2023 in Ulaanbaatar.
 

With the implementation of this arrangement, the citizens of the two countries will be soon able to establish their pensions. The pension will be based on the total non-duplicated periods of working and paying social insurance contributions in the other country, as well as transferring the pensions corresponding to the period of contributions paid, and social security will be ensured.

At the moment, more than 12.000 Mongolians have residence permit in Czechia, other tens of thousands lived, studied and worked ther in the past. More than 1200 Mongolian students and pupils live in the Czech Republic now, maiking it world’s third largest community,

The Governments of the Czech Republic and Mongolia signed the Agreement on Social Security in Prague on May 20, 2019, but its implementation was impossible without the arrangement signed yesterday.
