Preparation and program of the fourth Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation

On April 4, 2019 a briefing of member states on the preparations and program for the fourth Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable development goals (STI Forum) took place in New York. Member states were informed about the Forum preparations by the president of the Economic and Social Council of the UN (ECOSOC) and by both co-chairs M. Chatardová, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the UN and H.E. Thompson, Permanent Representative of Barbados to the UN.
STI Forum will take place on May 14 and 15 at the UN headquarters in New York. This important event will see attendance of over 1000 people consisting of representatives of member states and also attendees from academic and private sectors. This year’s goal of the Forum is to evaluate progress on implementation of goals 4, 8, 10, 13 and 16. For more information and program of the STI Forum, please see the attached document.
