The Consular Department draws attention to the changing conditions for entry to the Czech Republic for foreigners from April 5, 2020, according to a communication from the Czech Ministry of Interior. Entering the Czech Republic, due to the State of Emergency during the coronavirus pandemic will only be possible with a valid Certificate of Temporary Residence in the Czech Republic or a Permit for Permanent Residency in the Czech Republic.

For anyone who wants to come to the Czech Republic because of their residence, work or school, it is recommended to return as soon as possible. This measure, which aims to return EU citizens living in the Czech Republic, is limited in time, because it is intended to be a one-off return for those EU citizens living in the Czech Republic.
