Lithuanian Prime Minister met with Heads of Missions of the EU Member States

On 14 December, 2022, on the occasion of the ending Presidency of the Czech Republic in the Council of the EU, the Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonyte met with the heads of the embassies of the member states of the European Union in Lithuania.

During the working breakfast the main topics involved economic and military support for Ukraine, EU sanctions against Russia, energy and other issues on the European agenda.

When evaluating the first half of the mandate of the current Lithuanian government, the Prime Minister stated that "the Government managed to achieve 85-90% of the goals".

I. Šimonyte thanked the Czech Presidency for its ability to respond to the current situation and enforce decisions at the EU level. "The most important thing is that we managed to negotiate macroeconomic assistance to Ukraine", the Prime Minister underlined.
