Mr. Zámečník was welcome by the Ambassador Vít Korselt at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vilnius. Afterwards, he met with the Chairman of Committee on Culture Mr. Vytautas Juozapaitis at the Lithuanian Parliament (Seimas) to discuss potential cooperation options between the South Moravian Region and Lithuania in broader range of areas including culture. Later, the Deputy Governor attended a business lunch with the representatives of the Kaunas region and the Chamber of Commerce to talk about deepening economic cooperation and joint tourism and culture related projects between both regions. To finish his stay in Lithuania, Mr. Zámečník attended the performance of Ballet of the Czech National Theatre Brno in the Palace of Grand Dukes of Lithuania. The event was held on the occasion of the commencement of the Czech Presidency in the Council of the EU.
