Children's Costume Party

Date: 19 March 2016 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Venue: Czech Embassy

Children dress in their most creative costumes and come ready to recite a poem (in Czech or Slovak) for an afternoon of song, dance, and culture at the Embassy of the Czech Republic. Children will also have the opportunity to participate in the improvised theater performance How Charles the IV Became a King! The Embassy of the Czech Republic, Embassy of the Slovak Republic, American Sokol, Washington, DC, and Slavic American Sokol present a Children's Costume Party (Říkanky a masky  / Riekanky a masky) on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at 3 pm.

Prizes will be awarded for:

☺Every Poem Recited or Song Sung
in Czech or Slovak
☺Best Mask or Costume
☺Best Dancer

Children are invited to come dressed in costume or mask of their choice.

Light refreshments will be served.
Admission is free.
