Dog Days of Summer - Introducing Czech Shepherds

Date: 01 June 2022 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Venue: Czech Embassy

The Embassy of the Czech Republic invites you to the Dog Days of Summer with speaker and trainer Marie Donahue of Rodina Straze on June 1, 2022, at 6 pm. Donahue will share her knowledge about working with German Shepherds bred from Czech bloodlines, which are known for their unmatched intelligence and ardent loyalty and obedience. She will demonstrate her canines' skills and desire to learn.

About Rodina Straze
Rodina Straze was founded by Marie & Mike Donahue with the intention of preserving the Czech (Border Patrol) and DDR German Shepherd bloodlines. Their program is built solely on these exceptional bloodlines which have produced many great working German Shepherds known for their dark pigment, correct structure, physical stamina, balanced temperaments and good health. Their dogs are bred under the AKC registered Kennel name Rodina Straze. Their name loosely translates from the Czech language to mean "Family Guards" and this is just one example of what their dogs are.

Their program is kept small as their dogs are considered members of the family and live in their home. They believe in providing their dogs with the individual time and attention they need and deserve in both care and training. Animals have been their lifelong passion and they have built their lives for them and around them. They are located on a small farm in Frederick, Maryland.
