The Embassy of the Czech Republic will open "Czech Scientists and Their Inventions," an educational exhibition composed of caricatures of leading Czech scientists and their most famous discoveries. A part of the Open Science projects of the Czech Academy of Sciences, its goal is to a shed a spotlight on the pioneering steps these brilliant researchers took and to recognize and present their achievements before new audiences, especially younger generations.

This program honors Gregor Mendel, a meticulous scientist who was decades ahead of his time as he was the first to apply the mathematical methods to botany experiments, specifically plant hybridization.
