Film: Vinyl Generation

Venue: House of Sweden

"Vinyl Generation" will screen at the House of Sweden as part of the EUROBEATS Music Festival on May 6, at 12 noon. In 1980s Communist Czechoslovakia, an emerging generation took inspiration from alternative culture to create their own worldview, politics and eventually, a revolution. Twenty-five years later, this unique generational perspective is explored for the first time in this documentary. (Dir. Keith Jones, 2016, 73 min.)

This event is in conjunction with the new EUROBEATS Music Festival, running May 2-10, 2018, that celebrates the variety and richness of European music and talent at various venues in Washington, DC. As part of the EU Month of Culture, the festival will present music across all genres and screen films about European music. #eurobeatsDC
