Synopsis: Hoping for change, Ema (Jana Plodková) leaves her family and womanizing husband. She hides at the apartment of her gay hairdresser Tony (Ondrej Nosálek), whom she barely knows. They are merely two strangers connected by their mutual effort to escape from their families. Their liberating friendship teeters on becoming a love affair. This “love story” centers on two people and their attempts to escape the trap of their own desires of belonging to somebody.

Awards: Nominated for a 2015 Czech Lion for Best Actor (Ondrej Nosálek). Screened at numerous film festivals including the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

Director / writer Slobodanka Radun studied film and direction at the Film and Television Academy of the Performing Arts (FAMU) in Prague. She has made a series of short documentaries for Czech Television and several commercials. The film US 2 is her feature film debut. She wrote the screenplay for the film with Czech writer Radka Denemarková, whose successful play Sleeping
Disorders (2010) Radun directed at Prague’s Na zábradlí theatre.
