Masaryk Diplomatic Program: Student Presentations

The Embassy of the Czech Republic invites you to a special presentation by students on their research on May 24, 2022, at 6 pm, as part of the Masaryk Diplomatic Program. Students from across the United States will give short talks on topics such as refugee resettlement, misinformation and disinformation within cyberspace, outreach to younger generations, education in democracy, and US-Czech cooperation within the EU. Join us for an evening delving into Czech-American relations from the students’ perspectives.

The Masaryk Diplomatic Program (MDP) is a two-month-long program organized by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington. The program is designed for university students in the United States interested in diplomacy, transatlantic relations, and U.S. relations with the Czech Republic. The program consists of a series of workshops led by diplomats of the Czech Embassy in Washington and student research projects promoting Czech-American relations and mutual cooperation.

Kristen Taylor – The Future of US-Czech Relations on Refugee Resettlement (American University)

Katherine Birch – Czech and American state-level responses to challenges, especially misinformation and disinformation, within cyberspace. (University of Texas – Austin)

Alejandro M. Escobedo - Opportunities to enhance U.S.- Czech energy and climate cooperation (Rice University)
