Connecting Czechs: Embassy Five Beat

As part of the Connecting Czechs newsletter, the Embassy will feature heroes throughout the community who are keeping Czech heritage alive in the United States.

Martina Letfusová is the new receptionist at the Embassy of the Czech Republic. Learn about her and her connection to the Czech Republic.

March 2021 - Petr Justin (PDF, 1009 KB)
Petr Justin is the President of the Czech and Slovak Heritage Association of Maryland (CSHA). Founded in 1994, the association has done a tremendous job to promote and preserve Czech and Slovak heritage in Maryland.     

February 2021 - Retta Slavik Chandler (PDF, 745 KB)
Retta Slavik Chandler is the President of the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center. Thanks to her and her team, the city of La Grange in Texas, historically a major site of Czech settlement, remains a hub of Czech culture.
