Czech Heritage Night w/Washington Wizards - Mar. 5

Join us on Sunday, March 5, at 5 pm, for the first Czech Heritage Night with Tomáš Satoranský as the Washington Wizards take on the Orlando Magic at the Verizon Center!   

Come to the Czech Embassy’s booth to get Czech give-a-ways and have your face painted with the Czech flag. Explore the beautiful sites of the Czech Republic and take part in a photo competition at Czech Tourism's booth. Both will be situated at concourse level entrance sections 416/417. 

Following the game, attend a Meet & Greet with Czech basketball star Tomáš Satoranský. Stay posted on our facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Czechembassydc/) and twitter (@CzechEmbassyDC) to find out the exact location!

About Czech Heritage Night  
The Wizards host Czech Heritage Night as a way for the Czech community to get together to enjoy an evening of basketball and cheer for Wizards Czech star Tomáš Satoranský. Bring a small Czech flag, no bigger than the length of your shoulders, to root on Satoranský.         

Tomáš Satoranský hails from Prague, Czech Republic and is a member of the Czech Republic National Team. In 2007, at 15 years old, he played in the Czech men’s top basketball division, becoming the youngest player in its history to play in the league. In 2008, he became the MVP of U18 European Championship Division B. He joined the men’s national team as the youngest player in history. At a height of 6 ft. 7 in., the 25-year-old point guard has spent a great amount of his career playing internationally. Prior to being drafted by the Washington Wizards, he played for USK Praha (2007-2009), and then went on to play for Baloncesto Sevilla (2009–2014), and FC Barcelona Lassa (2014-2016). He made his Washington debut with the Wizards in 2016.
