Foreign Minister J. Lipavský will reaffirm the Czech – U.S. Alliance in Washington

Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský will visit, for the first time in his new role, Washington, D.C. from April 24 to April 27 to reaffirm the excellent bilateral relations between Czechia and the United States of America.

Minister J. Lipavský will meet with the Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to discuss further actions regarding the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine and China’s stance on the Russian invasion. The Minister will also meet member of the United States Congress and will take part in expert events of the two distinguished US think tanks – CEPA and The Atlantic Council.

Furthermore, he will meet the representatives of the American-Central European Business Association, as well as the director of the U.S. Agency for Global Media Kelu Chao. On the last day of his visit, Foreign Minister Lipavský will attend the funeral of the Czech born first female U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
