Nicolas Winton‘s Wall Unveiled in Florida Holocaust Museum

On 16th November, 2014 a wall dedicated to Sir Nicholas Winton was unveiled in the Florida Holocaust Museum in St. Petersburg to honour his legacy.
The ceremonial unveiling was attended by more than 140 guests, including Rep Ed Hooper, Sen Jack Latvala and Sen Bill Galvano, a.o.
Honorary consul of the Czech Republic in Philadelphia, Peter Rafaeli and his wife Naomi donated $25,000 to Florida Holocaust Museum to maintain legacy of Winton who in 1939, rescued 669 mostly Jewish children shortly before the World War II broke out.
The cultural attaché of the Embassy of the Czech Republic, Robert Rehak held a speech at the opening ceremony which was preceded by his lecture on fate of several Czechoslovak families before their violent separation by the Nazis.
