Your Excellency,

Dear Prime Minister,

I was shocked by brutality of the terrorist attacks which were carried out in Paris yesterday. The news about high number of victims has filled my heart with deep sorrow and regret about so many wasted lives. I would like to express to you my sympathies and solidarity of the Czech Republic.

I deplore in the strongest possible terms this inhuman terrorist act. It is an attack on the values which bind the Czech Republic and France. At this moment of unprecedented security threat faced by France we stand side by side with you as your partner in the European Union and ally within NATO. We are ready to offer France all the necessary cooperation.

Dear Prime Minister, I would like to ask you to convey my condolences to the close ones of the victims.

Respectfully yours,

Bohuslav Sobotka

I am deeply concerned by terrible massacre in Paris. Yet I know that such violence must be punished and we must not give up our lives and civilization we have built. I express my support to the French president and to the French government and our deepest sorrow to those who have lost their beloved ones.
