Deputy Minister Povejšil at Ministerial Conference of the Global Coalition for D-ISIS

On February 6th, Deputy Minister Martin Povejšil attended the Ministerial Meeting of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, hosed in Washington, D.C. He also met with partners at the State Department.

Deputy Minister for Multilateral and Security Issues Martin Povejšil attended the Ministerial Meeting of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS held at the State Department on February 6, 2019. The objective of the meeting, hosted by the United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, was to review the progress of the past year and to discuss the next stage in the campaign to ensure the enduring defeat of ISIS.

President Donald Trump addressed the Ministerial Meeting, welcoming the progress made in the past year in liberating the territory controlled by ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

Deputy Minister Povejšil also met with Deputy Assistant Secretary Matthew G. Boyse at the State Department, discussing bilateral cooperation in security and defense, focusing on next steps in Afghanistan and energy security in Europe.
