On Sunday, June 12, 2016 the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Bohuslav Sobotka sent a message of condolence to the Vice President of the United States of America, Joseph Biden in relation to the tragedy in Orlando.
Your Excellency, Dear Mr Vice President,
I was shocked by the news of the mass shooting in a night club in Orlando, Florida today, leaving many dead and a high number of injured. On behalf of the Government of the Czech Republic as well as on my own behalf, I strongly condemn this brutal and cowardly attack.
I deeply regret every human life lost in this horrible tragedy. The fact that so many innocent people, mostly young adults, found their death in a place where they came to have a good time, is heartbreaking.
Your Excellency, at this sad moment, please accept my deepest condolences. Please convey also my sympathy and solidarity to the families of the victims and all those affected by this tragedy.
Respectfully yours,
Bohuslav Sobotka
Prime Minister of the Czech Republic
