Albaform – An American Story in the Making

Since 2013, the Czech company Albaform has grown to almost 70 employees in the US state of Georgia and, thanks to orders from BMW and others, it is investing $1.7 million into its development.

With each passing year, the family owned and operated company Albaform has become more successful. As the producer of a wide range of wire-forming components and custom wire frames for the automotive industry, primarily for use in car seats, it has received new orders at its American branch in Flowery Branch, Georgia.

With three new contracts for wire frames for the American factories of BMW, Daimler and Volkswagen, the company is investing $1.7million into production and will create 15 new jobs to add to its current 51 employees.

In building its own reputation, Albaform also promotes the good name of the Czech Republic as it presents itself as a Czech company. It has 8 experts on hand in Georgia from its parent company's headquarters in Ladná near Břeclav in the Czech Republic.

“The story of Albaform is really the American dream,” says Tomáš Hart, the Head of the Economic Department at the Czech Embassy. “We have been in contact with the Vintrlik family since they began their business and I am happy that we were able to help them along the way. We are absolutely thrilled to see them succeed.”

Albaform is moreover engaged in the wider Czech community in Georgia. The Vintrlik family is involved with the Czech school in Atlanta. Last year in October, the business family assisted the Czech Embassy and CzechInvest in organizing a trade mission from the Czech automotive industry to South Carolina and Georgia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, as part of its economic diplomacy, supported the visit financially and Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic for North and South Carolina Petr Vasicko and Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic for Georgia George Novak assisted in the organization.

“Successful in business, actively involved in the community and supportive of other ventures – Albaform has really shown how a middle sized Czech company can make it on the competitive American market,” noted Mr. Tomáš Hart.
