In his testimony, Ambassador Gandalovic reiterated that since the early 1990s, the Czech Government has always kept in mind that it is not possible to achieve a true state sovereignty without having energy sovereignty.

Ambassador Gandalovic also stressed that the Czech Republic's energy security is based on the assumption that access to global markets means access to oil and natural gas exported by countries that do not see energy as a political tool.

Moreover, he added that the larger the number of stable democracies among the world exporters, the more robust the energy security of the Czech Republic and Europe will be.
