Virtual Conference: Czech Republic and OECD – 25 years Past and Future

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted an on-line conference to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Czech Republic´s entry in the OECD on December 8, 2020.
 

 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the on-line conference Czech Republic and OECD – 25 years Past and Future, held on December 8, 2020.  Watch same at this link.

The aim of this virtual conference was to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Czech Republic´s entry in the OECD. It highlighted the most important moments of the accession process of the Czech Republic as well as 25 years of membership of the Czech Republic in the one of the most influential economic organizations in the world. The conference also launched a booklet summarizing the Czech Republic’s membership in the OECD.

The conference also offered an opportunity for the discussion on the future role of the OECD, the Czech Republic’s contribution and on main challenges for the OECD and its Members such as impacts of the current pandemic crisis.

The Conference started with opening remarks by Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, Secretary General of the OECD Ángel Gurría and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tomáš Petříček.

The event was moderated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Tlapa
