Street Furniture Showcased at the Czech Embassy

Come see the latest designs by Czech company mmcité on May 12

On Saturday, May 12, from 10am to 4pm, the Czech Embassy will open its doors to the public for its annual festive open house, during which it will feature Czech company mmcité and its cutting-edge products.

Mmcité, founded in 1994 in the Czech Republic, strives to make a positive impact on public space design in the form of street furniture. It specializes in design, development, manufacture, and supply of street furniture elements, ranging from waste bins, bollards, park benches to shelters and big canopies.

Its latest creations, including an ultramodern city smart bench, will be exhibited at the Czech Embassy for public viewing and trial. The smart bench provides the luxury of a WIFI hotspot and USB charger, using its integrated technologies such as solar panels. Furthermore, visitors will be able to admire the high-volume litter bin BETTER, which won the 2017 GOOD DESIGN award from The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.

A company representative will be on hand throughout the day to speak about smart cities and public spaces, current technological trends, and the need of high level of aesthetics and quality in street furniture.

Recently, mmcité has established a branch in Charlotte, North Carolina, to meet the demand and expectations of its customers in America. Its designs already offer solutions in many cities across the US.
