Wines from the Czech Republic Win Big at the San Francisco International Wine Competition 2016

Taking 4 Double Gold, 10 Gold, 34 Silver and 36 Bronze medals
 

Wines from the wineries of Bohemia and Moravia received international recognition and immense praise at the San Francisco International Wine Competition 2016, which takes great pride in its highly professional levels of impartiality and expert judgment.  This year, judges blind tested 4,618 wines from over 30 countries.

The Czech Republic took home 4 Double Gold, 10 Gold, 34 Silver and 36 Bronze medals.  Double Gold medalists were: Double Gold medalists Vinice-Hnanice for its 2015 Ryzlink Rýnský, Vinařství Pavlov for its 2015 Rulandské Bílé, Petr Skoupil Winery for its 2015 Rulandské Bílé, and Vinařství LAHOFER for its 2015 Rulandské šedé.

Moreover, the Czech Republic received two top awards for the Best Riesling (Vinice-Hnanice for its 2015 Ryzlink Rýnský) and the Best Pinot Blanc (Vinařství Pavlov for its 2015 Rulandské Bílé).
