The Embassy’s local partner for the implementation of the project was Daw Khin Kyi Foundation, which was established by the State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi in honor of her mother, and who is also chairing it. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi herself also attended the opening ceremony in the framework of her official visit to Kachin State. State Counsellor, when addressing the gathering, stressed that „the reason this cente was opened was because of the donation by Daw Khin Kyi Foundation, but the support provided by the Czech Republic to Daw Khin Kyi Foundation was what made the donation possible.“ She also stated: "The Czech Republic has a long history of friendly relations with Myanmar. The Czech Republic is one of the countries that have understood and assisted our country. The Czech Republic has plans to assist Daw Khin Kyi Foundation in making donations to other drug rehabilitation centers. Here, I would like to thank to Ambassador of the country that has been friendly to us and has enthusiastically supported the rehabilitation of our youth and people".

 
As a token of appreciation, the Ambassador received a special certificate from the State Counselor. During the opening ceremony, all guests had an opportunity to visit the newly renovated center's premises, consisting of a dormitory, a kitchen, a classroom and a vast plot of land on which the users plan to start their own agricultural production.

The Czech Republic is the only donor involved in renovation of this second-in-row reopened rehabilitation drug center in Myanmar / Burma.
