ICEFA Lidice is a one round competition for children 4 to 16 years for all types of schools and organisations working with children. Individuals can participate as well. The expert panel of judges consisting of art teachers and visual artists selects circa 1,400 works for exhibition. The works are awarded Honourable Mentions and the best of them obtain “Rose of Lidice” medals. The project was established in 1967 to commemorate the child victims from the Czech village of Lidice who were murdered by German Nazis in 1942, as well as all other children who have died in wars.

For more details about the exhibition, visit https://www.mdvv-lidice.cz/en/exhibition/ .

Theme: Every year, the exhibition bears a unique theme. In 2022, it will be the 50th anniversary of the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage. Czech Republic will also become the meeting place of world's museum professionals during the ICOM General Conference in Prague. As such, the 50th ICEFA Lidice will be dedicated to the theme: MUSEUM. In museums, people can learn about the world's diversity and shared history.

Sub-themes: What would the museum of your dreams be like? What would you like to show to future generations or to a person from a far away country? What would happen if museum exhibits suddenly became alive? What would a museum of your life or your family look like?
