Cyber Security Seminar

Cyber Security Seminar

Security experts and executives representing different Armenian banks exchanged their views with Czech specialists on risks and threats and discussed possible solutions for secure internet banking and other fields of cyber security in banking system.

Security experts and heads of Armenian banks exchanged views with Czech experts in the field of risk management and countering cyber threats and discussed possible solutions to ensure the security of such segments as internet banking, mobile banking and other areas of cyber security of the banking system. As the organizers of the event told ArmInfo, in March another seminar will be held on the application of concrete measures of protection.

It should be noted that the development of Internet banking technologies in Armenia is taking  very high rates. According to analysts of ArmInfo News Agency ITC rating and marketing Service, in the last 3-4 years the volume of non- cash payments, including those made  through the Internet, show 70-80% annual growth. This growth is caused both by the active involvement of the country's population in the world Internet sites, and by the creation of a widerm infrastructure inside Armenia itself. Therefore, the development of Internet projects - multi-functional interfaces and mobile applications - is becoming an important direction for banks to receive non-interest income and expand the client base.

The seminar will be followed by another one in March on implementation of concrete applications. The project is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.
